THE BRYAN KOHBERGER - IDAHO FOUR TRIAL IS SET TO BE ABOUT EVERYTHING NOW

Yea- I know- no trial ... there's still a lot of interest and speculation about Bryan... still those who think he's innocent through he confessed... Christine September 2025

THE BRYAN KOHBERGER - IDAHO FOUR TRIAL IS SET TO BE

ABOUT EVERYTHING NOW

by Christine Trzyna

If the Idaho Four murders had happened not so long ago - let's say two decades ago - Bryan Kohberger would probably not have been arrested as an "innocent until proven guilty" suspect. As there has been no confession, no knife found, but a whole lot of this and that, the murder of four innocent college students living off campus at the University of Idaho is still a crime of circumstantial evidence. There are many who believe the man is innocent, including, she says, his attorney and his defense team. And thousands of news articles and other media, including many True Crime YouTube stations with authoritative guests, speak of him as the killer. Of late is the exploration of how he might be executed by firing squad.

Though not much of a true crime aficionado - compared to the very many who follow outstanding crimes and criminal justice case by case - I love a good mystery and have occasionally participated in the sleuth game over the years.  After all, as a ten year old, Nancy Drew books were far more interesting to me than books I was forced to read, such as the English classics. With so many crime and forensics television series giving viewers lessons of discovery, there's a temptation to be just like Nancy, the heroine whose investigative ways lead her to follow the clues and solve the mystery.

The upcoming trial will have everything now. DNA evidence, video evidence, door camera and sound, cell phone pinging, social media and networking, texting, and Internet purchasing... That's why the Bryan Kohberger - Idaho Four Trial may just be the Trial of the Century. Frankly many people I've talked to about it mention how different the O.J. Simpson trial would have been if this technology had been available.

One thing for sure: If Bryan Kohberger is not the killer, then someone who has or may go on to kill again is out there.

As mentioned in a previous post, I find that the constant use of Internet social media as a display of good times, good looks, and in some cases teasing sexiness, by the students, particularly, the two girls who, as childhood friends, slept and died in the same bed together, not worthy of being murdered, but stupidity.  (It could be argued that it was also show-offy and competitive.)

As well there is reason to think some of these students were alcoholic and we all know that drunk people loose their inhibitions and under the influence do all sorts of things they may regret later. I associate membership in Frats and Sororities to be indicative of alcoholism as well.  Allowing their rental house to be a party house so notorious that some students partied there when not one renter was home, was also just plain stupid. I do not think all college students party as a way of life so excusing the way these activities opened these students up to privacy invasion and being targeted as just what college students do is in error.

I marvel at how a student could work, ace classes with a full time class load, and party too.  Maybe I don't personally have that level of genius or guts.

I'm not excusing murder of course, just encountering facts.

I also still find it irksome when I hear true crime authority figures not understand what being a grad student and a TA means or even what a Criminal Justice candidate studies. Finally someone spoke up and said that thousands of people who major in Criminal Justice - bachelor, masters, or PhD's, do not go on to commit murders. The analysis is interesting to be sure, but has not lead to more than speculations.

These last few days more information, such as the redacted texting between surviving housemates, which aids the time-line, has been released. ... As if tantalizing advertising for the upcoming trial.

Of all the "evidence" it is the cell phone pings that I find to be ridiculous. This is because of my own experience with cell phones.

My first cell phone was a gift, along with what proved to be very limited service. (I appreciated it, at a time when I could not afford to buy one myself.) However, while living on a block full of apartment buildings, I had to go outside and walk up the street to make and take calls and there were significant delays when it came to receiving text messages.

In recent years I had a cell phone in a residential area where calls and texts seem to go through with more ease. However, I was amazed to see the information on the phone that "locates" a person and their phone, for it identified me as pinging in Las Vegas, especially in the middle of the night, and Vegas is about 270 miles away!  (I also had not ever called anyone or any place in Vegas.)  Up the road from my place was a quarter mile stretch in which the locals warned me that even ATT had no service. Was it the ocean?  The hill?

Currently, I'm sometimes startled to see that my phone knows exactly were I am, as it switches one town- one block - to the next. Other times my location is all over the place.

Of all the "evidence" I find to be most controversial (and frightening) is the DNA - touch DNA - evidence. This DNA on the metal button of a leather knife sheaf is not even a fingerprint.

In fact, I haven't heard anything about fingerprinting at the crime scene.

Is the information that has made the rounds of YouTube and other True Crime podcasts even true?  Such as that despite inspections of Bryan Kohberger's apartment on campus, office on campus, and car, which was taken away by the FBI, there is NO blood from any of the students?  I ask, "How can a murder scene so bloody that some may have seeped out of the house foundation" NOT result in student blood - DNA being found?

Friends say that likely the murderer suited up for murder and quickly got rid of the clothing.  How masterful that might have been, even if wearing overhauls or the like. No time for a shower, in this case....

Most worrisome is that thousands of people who entered their DNA results into genealogy databases, who DID NOT GIVE PERMISSION FOR THESE TO BE USED FOR ANY OTHER PURPOSE SUCH AS BY PRIVATE INVESTIGATORS, POLICE, FBI, learned - what the hell - they did so.  This did not just violate Bryan Kohberger's privacy but also ALL THOSE PEOPLE'S privacy.

I learned that your garbage is no longer yours or private once you throw it out. Something I have done - put my garbage is someone else's garbage bin - is suspicious behavior.  So is wearing gloves to deal with garbage...

I, like very many, are eager to get the blow by blow of the trial. I believe Kohberger's defense attorneys will try everything to reduce his sentence or get him off. We will learn much.

Do I think Bryan Kohberger is innocent?

I am open to that idea.

My favorite True Crime podcast, and I listen only to the Bryan Kohberger coverage, is Surviving the Survivor.

September 4 2025 UPDATE : The trial never happened due to a plea deal as you probably know... There is still reportage on Bryan as various videos and testimonials and such are released to the public.  A video of him (or an AI representation) in a prison cell has also made it onto the Internet and there are those who are taking bets on how long he'll be alive in prison, though he is in solitary and protected as much as the prison can at this point.

YOU'RE A CRIMINAL IF YOU .... BRYAN KOHBERGER EXPOSE!

The following content has appeared on time-wasting "News Stories" that include YouTube videos that feature True Crime, as well as in the actual Media, where paid journalists and researchers attempt to convict a person before the American legal system does just to entertain you and keep up their ratings. NewsNation is especially guilty. I've given time to listening to these over the months since Bryan Kohberger was arrested and I take it he's the only suspect. Over 30 organizations and individuals have filed legal papers to have the Gag Order repealed so they can find more to report upon. In the meantime every possible tidbit of information from unnamed sources is used by him, her, and them to produce "news."

Some of what is seriously reported is really LOL yet extremely worrisome in what it means to me and you.

I have learned that you are a criminal if you...

Wear Rubber Gloves to deal with garbage which might contain all sorts of filth and disease.  (Get that gook under your nails!)

Sort your garbage.  (We not only have to sort recycled items from regular trash and greenery but also separate food scraps for composting. We are advised that some items such as electronics, batteries, spray paint, house paint and nailpolish, should never be put in regular garbage but should be bagged in plastic and taken to toxic waste sites.)

Put garbage in your neighbor's bin.  (We do this all the time when we have no more room in ours. The only provision is that one waits until the night before or morning of trash day.)

Wear a mask or own a mask, even though Covid-19 is still a problem and wearing a mask is still required in some governmental and nonprofit settings, some schools, as well as highly advised in places where you have contact with many other people and social distancing is not possible, such as while riding a public bus. For the record I own two black cloth masks and a couple colorful ones and am still, per situation, wearing the papery give-aways.)

Wear Black. In Central and Southern California, people wear black, which might seem odd to people in other parts of the U.S. where sunshine is associated with bright and loud and colorful clothing (i.e Florida and Arizona) and many people can only think Blue Jeans. I cannot think of anyone I know who does not own and wear some black. I personally still associate with some people who wear black T-shirts, sweats, and other black items like a uniform. Obviously waitresses and hairdressers who wear black are especially suspicious people.)

Own or wear "tennis" shoes. (Ditto!  Casual, rubbery or foamy supportive shoes have replaced formal, leather shoes, even in the workplace, except it seems for truly corporate types, such as bankers.)

Hair is found in your apartment, home, or on your belongings such as the interior of your vehicle.  (Considering that hair loss experts say that humans loose about 200 hairs a day each, I'm surprised there aren't tumble weed sized hair balls rolling down the freeways. Hair sure does block up our tub drains! Especially mixed with tooth paste!)

Are up in the middle of the night.  (All those people who meditate mid-morning like gurus and Whitley Strieber, the UFO abductee, or get up to go to the toilet or suffer from overactive minds are clearly criminal. Let's face it that if you are not buying some sort of remedy for hair loss, you probably are buying some sort of "sleep aid" be it prescribed drug or herbal supplement or melatonin.)

Wear PJ's in the middle of the night.  (Apparently it is better to fall asleep in your day clothing then get comfortable. Then you'll be appropriately dressed for your arrest. Leave your shoes on!)

Underline passages in books. (Before you bring home any book, be it from a book sale, the library, a garage sale, be sure that it is without any underlining that anyone else did. That could get you in real trouble. Also be careful of what sort of books you own or borrow as you are leaving a trace that a mere interest in, say, witchcraft, could really mean something! There is no such thing as an adventurous mind.)

Mention in passing to a neighbor a local murder, shooting, or other crime event.

(Even though it's all everyone is talking about, especially because of all that media coverage, and you're glad you were not there and wonder if your neighbor was. This kind of talk used to be called "small talk" and was the only talk considered safe socially, unlike religion or politics. My dad used to say, "Talk about the weather!" On the list of things that are potentially not safe to discuss with neighbors, strangers, and people at church and work now is the weather (because of climate change controversies) and also diets (because you can be singled out for abuse by Vegetarians and Vegans if you still can afford to and eat meat.)

***

Cruise to find others attractive, especially not where so many attractive people are, such as at college campuses.  (I'm suspicious of all those college lecturers and professors who have hankerings for their young students - ages 18 -21, year after year, as they get older and more decrepit themselves. You know professor there comes a time when you have to look in the mirror and realize you are just too old for them, and 40ish is about that time.)

Look at Facebook and other websites where people post photos of themselves, attractive and sexy (a little tempting cleavage), having fun, drinking and drunk, bragging, attempting to prove themselves popular. (If you don't want International Fame or Infamy, set it on private. On the other hand, if you do not social network you are clearly a weirdo!)

Go shopping or to restaurants or bars or visit with friends within a half hours driving time of your own home.  (Where you live is B O R I N G !)

***

Get nervous when pulled over by the police while driving.  (I got caught in a speed trap once, unknowingly, and was shocked that the police wanted ME to pull over. I was shaking. As I had been in a row of cars behind a red light and was just starting to gain speed, I still think the police officer was shit from boots to cap in claiming I was speeding.)

Plan a road trip or vacation with your very own parent(s)!  (Sadly, this is more suspicious than if you plan a road trip or vacation with your friends, room mates, or coworkers!)

Want company on a long, possibly exhausting, road trip rather than drive all by yourself.  (Don't you want to fall asleep at the wheel?)

Drive rather than fly. (Do you really want to check out the scenery from earth level?  Or pee at a rest stop?  Or eat trucker food?  Consider your flight options!)

Plan to sell your car. (Obviously, anyone who sells a car, especially an older model used, is trying to hide evidence.)

Wash a car that has just been on a long road trip and has so much dirt on it that someone might write "Wash Me" on the back windows with their finger! (Innocent people love their dust, dirt, and grime!  They keep their dogs stinky too!)

***

Have a flashlight and use it!

Vacuum your carpets at home or the interior of your car.  (Using a broom is so much more efficient even if it doesn't suck the dust!)

Shut your cell phone off.  (The battery never needs to recharge.  You never need to restart it, download apps and restart it, and your phone never crashes.  Take it from me, someone who used to own a phone that connected to Las Vegas Nevada in the middle of the night - several hours away! - despite a ping tower a quarter mile away.)

***

And also...

If you laugh out loud, taunt law enforcement or your fellow inmates, you're crazy and dangerous, like Jim Morrison of the Doors.  But if you keep your mouth shut, are too quiet, keep your thoughts to yourself, well... crazier!

If you SHOW INTEREST in what's being televised about your case (such as that the Media has convicted you),  if you SHOW INTEREST in your own defense, then that proves you're guilty!  (Never mind that there is nowhere to go and nothing else to do but watch TV.)

And if you grew up in a Catholic family and went to a Catholic College, and a Catholic priest comes to give you a private Mass once a week, and Holy Communion, well, you're headed strait to Hell or you just did your Last Confession before you're put to death by firing squad.  (Probably there is no chance, Thank God, that Bryan Kohberger is going to become a Born Again, "Saved" Christian in prison, and follow in the footsteps of so very repentant Doreen Virtue.)

Oh, and I forgot to mention, that if you are of an ethnic heritage and have genetic ROUND eye, which is often most associated with White People, clearly there is something hinky about you. Unlike people with eyes that slant or are small or squinty there has been a parade of ROUND EYED CRIMINALS lately, which includes Elizabeth Holmes... the former biotechnology entrepreneur.

***

I could go on, but it's clear that this case rests on DNA evidence, from which blood, bodily fluids, or, yes, hair, is the essential evidence.  But in the meantime be especially careful about the books you read and watch that underlining!

Just remember, there are unique and perhaps ironic things about this case that has captured the imagination, but about 35,000 people in the U.S. are murdered each year, meaning there are about 35,000 murderers, give or take the Mass Shooters, and rarely does a case get the expertise, money, and notice that this one has. Did they really have to fly a helicopter around the Kohberger home for hours before the arrest and then shock the whole family with a break in? Or was that for dramatic effect?

Keep the Gag Order.  Even if it does not apply to the family members. I don't want to hear about how the victims all wore angel wings from Kaylees's family or the family attorney.

Think about it.  If you were accused or arrested, would you not want LEGAL PROCESS, a FAIR TRIAL, and to be CONSIDERED INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY?

TIMOTHY SAID IT BEFORE I COULD ! ON THE OBSESSION WITH BRYAN KOHBERGER : TIMOTHY ALLEN CAMPBELL

May 14 2026  Well Bryan pleaded guilty, and so it goes...

Sorry but the video I posted is no longer available.

Timothy Allen Campbell

The driest sense of humor ever or just saying? He is right on about the nation's obsession with Kohberger.  I was composing my own rant about the stupidity of desperate "journalists" and media to keep the Kohberger balloon in the air and NewsNation - which claims to offer unbiased news but has Banfield - awash with emotions meant to prejudice any viewer.  But then I saw this. I no longer click on any YouTube videos from Newsnation.  Shame on media that goes against our Innocent Until Proven Guilty.  It's one thing for YouTubers who live for clicks - which might translate into income - and people who are PAID JOURNALISTS, professionals, to be leading the way towards a pre-trial indictment.

Of all the YouTube True Crime videos I watched regarding this upcoming trial - and it could be a couple years - Surviving the Survivor is the most professional.

Check out his other videos such as the one about Miranda Rights.

Remember YOU might be the next person arrested - be you innocent or guilty - who might have your life ruined by the media.

ONE OF THE MORE SANE OPINION VIDEOS ABOUT THE IDAHO FOUR MURDERS : TIMOTHY ALLEN CAMPBELL : BRYAN KOHBERGER'S CHANCES OF A FAIR TRIAL : TA REALITY

May 14 2026  Well Bryan pleaded guilty, and so it goes... And I've learned there are about 50,000 murders in the USA in a year.

Having watched dozens of videos, I'm convinced it will be near impossible for Bryan Kohberger to get a fair trial. He has been convicted in the media for sure. Innocent until proven guilty is fundamental to the law in the United States of America but experts including ex FBI agents are talking as if he is guilty, even just calling him Bryan like they can own that over-familiarity. He is a suspect. A suspect.  The ONLY one?

For a while I was immune to NewsNation broadcasters being negative and opinionated but Banfield is now on my nerves and I no longer think NewsNation is what it claims, news without bias. Nancy Grace, go back into the hole you crawled out of.  You don't need to be outraged for the rest of us.

I'm so glad I did not pursue journalism as my major as I would be ashamed and embarrassed to be in journalism at this point since almost all news is now soft, tabloid, badly researched news.  MURDER HAS BECOME ENTERTAINMENT.

THINK ABOUT THIS.... There are about 35,000 murders in the United States each year but very few are taken up like this one by the media and few get the manpower and funding to be solved that this one has. Name the ones you remember that got this much attention...  O.J.... Name the people you know or know of who have been murdered. (I know three.) I can bet you that if there was more than one or two investigators on the case who gave it a week or two, that would be exceptional.

And while the Idaho Four case has it's ironies, it's true that the Victims have all been turned into Saints, yet it IS likely that overall the party house was the scene of underage drinking and the use of illegal drugs and a pain in the ass in the neighborhood where serious students also lived. IT WAS NOT SAFE BEHAVIOR TO HAVE PARTIES GOING ON THERE WHEN NOT ONE RENTER WHO LIVED THERE WAS HOSTING. IT IS NOT SAFE BE DRUNK, especially not stumbling drunk - EVER. Were one or all of these students so brilliant that they could excel in all their classes, work part time, and be involved in all that frat and sorority partying and volunteer work?  What was their priority?  If so they were all more brilliant than Brian Kohberger, a serious student.  Rather, I think perhaps the University of Idaho college is really what they call a "party school" where students major in drinking and drugging, and where it is simply well below the usual academic standards, a college where it is easy to pass a class. For these people college is just something you do, an inevitability, not something you strive for, perhaps a rite of passage for a certain class who will spend their lives not really having to work: even sliding through you will end up well employed because someone your parents know will hire you but you can spend most of your time skiing or on the boat.

It also pains me that one expert and media person after another excuses their unsafe behavior as "Typical" of college students, and calls them "Kids." Last I heard age 18 begins adulthood.

I will never get it why ANY SERIOUS STUDENT would even WANT to be in a FRATERNITY OR SORORITY.  I'm no longer in the position to hire, but I would consider that someone was in either to be a NEGATIVE. I would be hiring a drunk or druggie and someone who apparently thinks HAZING is OK. What does hazing TEACH people?  That it is OK to Bully? To be a SNOB?  To be a ROTTEN BOSS who treats underlings like shit? Is that what these stupid frats and sororities teach members? I think of the drunk coworkers and bosses (usually sales people) I had over the years and I can tell you they and their moods and verbal abuse were no fun nor was having to do their paperwork because they just didn't feel like it.

Some of the things that apparently make Bryan guilty that the media is running with are utterly ridiculous, from turning a shaving nick into being beat up in jail, from cleaning a vehicle that was just on a road trip and is visibly filthy with grime in those pull-over videos to be trying to cover evidence, to the whole cell phone ping thing.... which is not the same as GPS. I haven't even been using a cell phone for some time now after having more than one at more than one location that could not find a place to ping.  Having to go out on the street (no privacy) to make and take calls was lousy.  Finding out messages I sent early evening were showing up on other people's phones in the middle of the night was a problem. I also, when writing and researching, do not want the interruption, not even the annoying buzz, and I am not ON CALL!  It is near impossible to even find a place to work outside of one's own home, because the library is full of people on phones and buzzing.

Maybe Kohberger's phone needed to be recharged. So I would like to know if this insomniac who had trouble sleeping at night had a pattern of turning the phone off, to recharge, or perhaps to try and sleep. (TRY LEAVING YOUR PHONE AT HOME and GOING THROUGH YOUR DAY! We used to do it pre-cell and it is possible.)

Worst, Kohberger's teenage angst expressed years ago on the Internet is being held against him as a man. Including by the obnoxious psyche "expert" Dr. Grandy.  One more wanna be influencer who  should pack up shop and go home. I suspect Grandy has narcissic personality disorder himself, because he has called himself an expert and there is no reason to think so if you listen to his speculations about various people in the news. He should admit that Bryan Kohberger was never his patient.  And if he was his patient, then Grandy would be under the GAG ORDER.

Many of these people who are talking speculations and convicting Bryan Kohberger have advanced educations and are in the professions yet they apparently do not know much about our legal system. How did they manage to be educated and not know a suspect is NOT A CONVICT?

And I'll bet vegans, but also especially Kosher Jews, are cringing as the media tries to make it mentally ill and weird that Kohberger would not want to have his food cooked in pans that had meat in them. I met a number of brilliant grad students - these in the sciences and from other countries who had food weirdness. One slip of an Asian scientist  - not an ounce of fat - ate only cup sized balls of white rice with a little seaweed mixed in. She had her rice cooker, and this was what she ate for three meals and a snack each day - four cups of white rice with seaweed. Another each morning had a ritual in which he carefully folded a cereal box and laid it flat, then put his bowls and utensils down. He was unable to eat without performing this set up first. Well, if you read this blog you already know I have some opinions about vegans and vegetarians and organic foodies being in denial of their own human body, their carnivore teeth and intestines, but I guess what I'm saying that I think food weirdness and PhD candidates may go hand in hand.

The owner of the Mad Greek Restaurant has spoken out that NO, Bryan Kohberger DID NOT eat there, yet many media are still reporting that he did. So I decided to do something I rarely ever have and that was make comments.  BUT MOST OF THESE SLANDER SLINGING VIDEOS HAD COMMENTS TURNED OFF.

ALL TIME WASTING VIDEOS IN WHICH THE INFORMATION PROVIDED HAS ALREADY BEEN PROVEN WRONG SHOULD BE TAKEN DOWN.

So, give Timothy Allen Campbell a listen because he may not be all wrong.

This morning it was considered suspicious that a brilliant grad student would apply for an appropriate internship with the police.

Even Bullhorn Betty is apparently ignorant of the typical Graduate Student, PhD candidate's way of life.

So let me tell you. Grad students very often are hired to be Teaching Assistants or TA's as a way to earn money and as part of their education, especially if they may want to stay in academia and teach themselves rather than be a researcher or employed outside academia. I had many of them, in "sections" where a professor, who lectured to a huge crowd, would then divvy out the discussion groups and testing and so on to a number of TA's. TA's go on strike due to their work load and lousy pay (University of California). Some of them not only TA but also have other part time work as well as massive student loans in order to get through to a PhD so they have to have confidence and gumption. However, depending on the school and major, they may not be expected to get on out of there quickly, they may TA for years. Their (personal) work is under an advisor and falls into the category of independent research.

As TA's they work under a professor who is responsible for their work. But some of those professors are just so happy not to be teaching themselves. They actually find they must PUBLISH OR PERISH so they are focused on their own research and writing. They are supposed to review the TA's work but I can tell you from personal experience that some of the professors really are in their own world, the so called Ivory Tower, and don't bother. Unless you call them up on it.

If a TA is grading unfairly, if that professor hears that from too many students or a particular student makes their case, he or she will very likely call in the TA and have talk with them about grading. After all, he or she doesn't want students to quit the class or talk to the Dean and cause them trouble.

Very likely Bryan Kohberger was on such a higher level in his own education and didn't realize it, which is also not uncommon among professors. We would say that the professor was so into his theories that he failed to any longer be able to communicate to beginners. Bryan Kohberger was also a beginning grad student. He had only been in his program a few months. He had years ahead of him. I would hope that if he is not found guilty, he will be able to go back to his PhD, because as I see it, the media has ruined his life.

A good number of grad students do not make it to a Phd. Phd students work with an advisor who guides them and may have strong opinions about how to write their thesis. I've heard of grad students finding their advisor to be sabotaging and jealous, to basically live to make the grad student quit. Also I came to think that most of the grad students I met had parents who had been pushing them to be PhD's from an early age.  Often this meant that they were, when it came to relationships, very immature. Their head was in the books for so many years that they did not have much socialization as compared to someone whose parents were accepting of them as they were. I would say (many of those I met) grew up with parents who were snobs and who WOULD NOT LOVE THEM UNLESS THEY SUCCEEDED. Some of them were practically horse-whipped as children to be professionals and a normal childhood was taken from them.

The student will present a thesis, usually about five years after they began their program, often attempting some new research, an innovation, a discovery. Bryan Kohbergers on line questionnaire is not creepy but is totally in line with a grad student who is trying to get focus to hone in on what their specialty area will be.

Sorry but the video I posted is no longer available.

One of a few this man has posted, he is serious, not trying to be funny. Timothy Allen Campbell has the alternative viewpoint that isn't in the media and he has made some important points. He says the murder victims were irresponsible.

Another thing that is true is that grad students find themselves so busy (trying to teach as well as proceed to do their own work that they) are often overwrought under pressure, THEY OFTEN DO NOT HAVE TIME FOR RELATIONSHIPS but look to marriage after they get their PhD - usually to another grad student - because by that time their peers advise them to "do better" than someone who only earned a bachelor's degree. They are advised professionally to not have relationships with underlings, such as students in their classes, and also to avoid relationships with their peers as grad students in their own programs. So, if you are getting a PhD in literature, forget that department, and consider someone in Anthropology.  (And so it would make sense that Kohberger would go to the campus a ten minute drive away and sit in the student union, perhaps hoping to start up a conversation with a student there.)

At least one of my grad student associates started a sexual affair with her married advisor in the literature department within the first months of her arriving on campus. But then she was a sex addict and might not have used this to get an advantage over him. (She had a list of men she wanted to have sex with which included a couple of my platonic male friends.)

The saying went IF YOU ARE NOT IN A RELATIONSHIP WHEN YOU START GRAD SCHOOL YOU PROBABLY WON'T HAVE ONE UNTIL YOU'RE OUT OF IT.

Also said to be suspicious but it is not, is that Bryan Kohberger sent a few electronic hellos to one of more of the young women who were murdered.  Really?  This is not harassment.  I've been harassed and I know what that is. It is especially horrible when an intellectual property thief publishes something without your permission.

You can file a complaint with the FBI for internet harassment. And back when I had the comments turned on for this blog, I almost did file a complaint.  Someone from long ago, who had proven to be a ripe asshole in real life, found me and sent me at least a dozen haranguing comments, probably attempting to lure me to see his porn site. I knew he had always been unstable and also had also been unappreciative back in the day.  It was sad to learn that he had not overcome his personality disorder or mental illness. But I figured he was a better candidate for a visit from the San Francisco police and a waste of time and money for the FBI.

These simple hellos via Bryan Kohberger were not "love letters" and since there was reportedly no response it's not like one or all of them sent a message back or blocked the hellos.

(At least two of the murder victims) were posting photos of themselves in sexy outfits and various poses frequently. Tell me that these some of these brilliant women who dyed their hair ice blond and paid to have their teeth perfect and brilliant, (What is called the $100,000 smile) and posted pictures of themselves showing skin, did so because they did NOT want attention! No, they were reaching out for attention, they were attractive, and they wanted to prove to the world constantly that they were popular. If you do NOT want such attention, what you do is keep the social networking to a minimum, such as putting your Facebook on PRIVATE.

Now, I do want whomever murdered the Idaho Four to see Justice but Justice in the United States of America still assumes the person is innocent until convicted.  But what is happening with all the True Crime YouTubers and the very many who have not established themselves but are hoping on the caboose of that train and are causing MOB RULE.

I reported to Google/YouTube in FEEDBACK that it was really disgusting to be watching videos about these murders and be getting ads to buy knives and military quality equipment for survivalists and chefs.

Slightly edited for clarity  2/10/2023

I want to emphasize that being a TA may not at all be a requirement to earn a Phd.  It would depend on what college, what program, and what their particular goals are.
