As you may know, I blog a bit about LOS ANGELES PUBLIC LIBRARY. Recently a librarian expressed to me the waste of money that those little (about 3 1/2 inch presharpened) pencils are. NOBODY WANTS TO SHARPEN THEM! And I do, but they are good for about ONE SHARPEN before they become near impossible to put into the electric sharpener. And at that length they dig into a person's hand. They are uncomfortable to use as well.
WHY NOT JUST BUY FULL LENGTH PENCILS THAT HAVE MORE SHARPENING LIFE IN THEM? I see these sold for as low as $1.00 a six pack!
