I wasn't living in Los Angeles in the 1970's. Yet, I can say this book is relatable.
I loved the essays - from diverse writers - personal experiences and viewpoints. New Yorkers moving West; I do remember the posters that they used to sell that you could flip, one side showing palm trees, the other showing skyscrapers and words like "I'd take LA over New York any day." All very interesting. Many pros. A writer's book by writers.
Get this book. If you can't find it, say something to the right people to get it republished... Mr. Kukoff? Maybe try Los Angeles Public Library.
