Recently I was thinking about someone I knew years ago who used the word Copacetic every other sentence. Made me want to scream. "Basically... bla bla bla Copacetic.
MERRIAM WEBSTER ON DEFINITION COPACETIC
It means Very Satisfactory.
Where is Strunk and White?
Why not say "I was pleased?"
The words that I find overused (very overused) these days, because I not only hear them but read them are:
ICONIC and UBIQUITOUS.
ICON
ICONIC is an ADJECTIVE and I think newly invented.
UBIQUITOUS
Why not say "Common?"
