I WAS A LIT MAJOR....

"I was a Lit major so I could be a Creative Writing major, but if I could have been a Creative Writing major and an Anthropologist, that may have been even better! I'm not sure all that deconstructionist theory in Literature programs really serves or supports the constructionist - the Creative Writer." - Christine Trzyna

The above has been on my profile since I began this blog a few years ago. I still feel the same way. I'm an armchair anthropologist and archaeologist but these days I enjoy creating stories from the evidence of research and interviews, as well as memories, inspirations, and creativity.

"Write what you know" is the Big Advice in Writing Programs. But a lifelong learner such as myself is always getting to know more. And being a researcher doesn't mean you can't also create, making something out of nothing.????
