I DEEPLY REGRET EVER HAVING A PHOTOBUCKET ACCOUNT
I DEEPLY REGRET EVER HAVING A PHOTOBUCKET ACCOUNT
Years ago, I, like thousands of other people, were lured into having a FREE PHOTOBUCKET ACCOUNT. I used it to upload photos from cell phones, and well, some time ago - perhaps more than a couple years ago - I STARTED GETTING THREATENING EMAILS from Photobucket. Though Photobucket did say it would charge if someone went over a certain limit, when I did go over the photos were not BLOCKED from uploading to prevent me from going over though I had selected FREE ACCOUNT. I'VE RECEIVED HUNDREDS OF VARIOUS TYPES OF THREATENING EMAILS FROM PHOTOBUCKET ABOUT THE LOSS OF MY PHOTOS and LOSS OF THE ACCOUNT WHICH HAVE BEEN A TIME WASTING PAIN IN THE ASS TO DELETE. THE DESPERATION ON THEIR PART WAS AND IS SHOWING.
ABSOLUTELY NO ONE WANTS TO BE PESTERED INTO FORKING OVER FEES.
At one point I contacted them and said I could not know if I did or did not want to save these photos when I was BLOCKED FROM SEEING WHAT I UPLOADED.
Someone from their CUSTOMER SERVICE DID CONTACT ME and I SAID THE SAME.
TO REITERATE
I DID NOT KNOW IF or WHEN I WENT OVER IN UPLOADS. (It could be that uploading did not go smoothly, resulting in repetitions of the same photo.) I SELECTED FREE ACCOUNT and THEY DID NOT BLOCK UPLOADS PAST THE ALLOTTED NUMBER.
MY PHOTOS ARE BEING HELD FOR RANSOM.,
The customer service person said he would tell his higher-ups how I felt about it.
In truth I don't think I uploaded many personal photos of value to me. I did photograph art projects and such.
And these days, I upload to Google Photos and do a lot of deleting once done with an image.
I'M POSTING THIS TO SAY "DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH PHOTOBUCKET."
